This was actually taken yesterday. The Fishbach family came over, we had pizza and carved 14 pumpkins! It was a lot of fun.

Saturday
We heard a loud BOOM in the back of the house about 11:00 this morning. Our neighbor behind us was just about home when part of the steering shaft broke and he jerked to the side hitting our other neighbors van, car and our back rock wall, shooting the truck 10 feet into the air slamming it down on our back property - where we often park our van, and our and the neighbors children climb and play. Miraculously no one was hurt (except for the driver who got just one cut).

Friday
Fieldtrip Friday to the Ape Caves and Petrified Forest on Mt. St. Helens. We went with the children's school. The boys LOVED the caves, the girls, not so much. In the forest there was a long skinny cave you had to crawl through - you can see Jadon climbing down the ladder to get into it, and me coming out the other end - Jude was the only other one brave enough to do it.

Jude put a bagel in the microwave for 10 minutes - I stopped it after 2, but it was quite charred.

I'm experimenting in the kitchen again. Sprouted lentils toasted. The children and husband are afraid to taste them.

I changed her diaper and she didn't want her clothing back on. She ran around the house saying "I am running around the house naked." Funny girl!

Today is Jenea's 14th birthday. She would not let me take a picture of her so I'll post something she'll always remember - mom in the kitchen setting off the smoke detector. This was supposed to be rice crispe treats. Love Jenea so much, maybe next year she'll let me take a picture of her.

Went to the pumpkin patch in Hood River today then we met Grandma Joy and Aunt Jennifer in The Dalles. You can see how thrilled Jenea is to have her picture taken.

I stayed up till 4:30 am to watch the blood moon.It was a beautiful evening. Jaren asked me to wake him up so he could see it, I guess he was too tired.
