I drove for Jaren's field trip today, Jenea came along. We visited the National Wildlife Federation in Molalla. We learned about many kinds of owls and saw all kinds of animals that reside here because they were wounded (mostly shot or hit by cars) and can no longer live in the wild. Here is Jenea next to a racoon's home.
Tonight Jenea and I went to New Beginnings. The purpose was to introduce her to the Young Women program, which she'll be a part of when she turns 12 in October. I can't believe how fast she's growing up.
Today I told my secrete to Jenea. I figured I need to tell someone besides Paul and my friend Lucinda. She was so excited. I told her by taking her out with me to visit a home birth midwife. I was hoping we could hear the heartbeat tonight, but I guess I'm not far enough along. Another couple of weeks.
I'm glad Jenea is excited. I am too (between all the nausea and weakness). We pray it's a girl, we'd love to balance out the equation in our family.
A family just moved into our ward that has NO furniture, nor household goods whatsoever. We have too much so we thought we'd give them some of ours. The girls were so happy to finally get this loveseat out of their room. Now they have MORE room to make a mess on the floor, or as they say, make their set-ups.
Tonight we were sitting around a nice toasty fire when we heard a boom and watched glass shatter all over. Somehow a pane of tempered glass on the fireplace cover bust. I guess it was one of those freak things?
I kept smelling Vicks Vapor Rub upstairs and downstairs. Then I noticed that Jadons shirt was wet. It was him. He got into the Vicks Jolie left in her room and he was quite proud of himself. He rubbed it all over his face, neck and shirt.
It's Tuesday. The van didn't start. Uncle David rescued me today. The van didn't start last Tuesday either, nor the Tuesday before. We got it figured out, somehow the battery drained so we had to buy a new one. Now it starts beautifully.
This is our crazy cat Mia. She's been driving us crazy with her constant moaning these last few days. She's in heat. I sure hope it ends soon. We do want to breed her with another siamese cat eventually. I hope we can all live that long (sigh).
The children enjoying their lunch together. I'm SO grateful the children are such good friends and I'm able to stay at home with them and homeschool them.
The boys thought it was warm outside (50 F) so Jude got on his swimsuit and the boys played in the water. They asked me if they could run through the sprinkler. I said, "yes, when it is spring or summer". So they settled for their water toy.
