Day 172

November 26th, 2011
Saturday

Today was a sunny day so we figured we'd better be quick and get those Christmas lights up on the house.  We also got the children up on the house too, and a neighbor kid (Jolie, Jenea, Shaylee and Jaren).

Day 171

November 25th, 2011
Friday

We got down the Christmas decorations and put up 2 of the trees.  Our curse this season seems to be the Christmas lights, lots of them are out.  Paul thinks he found the solution though, buying a light keeper pro for $20 at Lowe's.  We both pray it works!!!!

Day 170

November 24th, 2011
Thursday

We celebrated Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa Graham's.  Grandma's brother Kelly, his wife Donita and their 3 boys Dakota (17), Hunter (14) and Sage (9, pictured here) were also there.  While Donita and I sat up stairs knitting and yapping the boys had fun being together.

Day 169

November 23rd, 2011
Wednesday

We drove back home today.  The older kids did fantastic, the younger boys screamed for a few hours.  We stopped in Ashland for dinner.  Interesting town, lots of hippies.  The pizza restaurant we ate at was great though, they had toys for the kids to play with which was very nice.

Day 168

November 22nd, 2011
Tuesday

Today we spent the day cleaning and packing up for our trip back home.  I was hoping to get a good picture of Jadon with Thatcher as we rarely see them and the boys are so close in age.  This is the best I could do.

Day 167

November 21th, 2011
Monday

Jude often pretends to be a dog.  I couldn't believe my eyes when I found this;  Remy allowing Jude to be in his cage with him.

Day 166

November 20th, 2011
Sunday

This morning we attended Shaun, Brooke and Thatcher's sacrament meeting again.  Jolie, Jadon and Paul stayed for the whole meeting while I took the other kids back to the Graham's.  After church we walked behind the church parking lot to this beautiful pond where the kids fed the ducks and geese.

Day 165

November 19th, 2011
Saturday

Tonight was movie and popcorn night.  I made microwave popcorn without the microwave.  I always wondered what the content looked like in those bags before they were microwaved; now I know.

Day 164

November 18th, 2011
Friday

Today we had a wonderful day in San Francisco.  We visited the seals on pier 39, walked the Wharf, got chocolate and ice cream at Ghiradelli Square, toured ships in the Maritime Museum on Hyde Street Pier, played on the beach and drove across the Goldengate Bridge.  Jaren was particularly enthralled with the Goldengate Bridge.

Day 163

November 17th, 2011
Thursday

We also stayed home today and the kids had a puppet show.

Day 162

November 16th, 2011
Wednesday

Today the kids wanted a break from outings so we stayed home.  The kids played while I taught myself how to knit Christmas stars.

Day 161

November 15th, 2011
Tuesday

Today we spent in downtown San Francisco playing in the Koret Children's Quarters at Goldengate Park.  It's supposed to be the largest childrens park in the country.  It's pretty big and we all had fun playing.  See if you can find each of the 7 of us in the web.

We drove into SF, left our van in a parking garage and took one of those electric wired busses.  What a fun day!

Day 160

November 14th, 2011
Monday

Today was a beautiful, sunny, warm day.  We visited the Oakland Zoo, saw the animals, rode the train, and had a picnic.  After that we stopped by the temple, walked on the roof terrace, and checked out the grounds.  I didn't realize how beautiful the Oakland Temple really is.

Day 159

November 12th, 2011
Saturday

We went to another park today, drove and took the dogs.  They loved riding in the car with us.  It was definitely an experience, 5 kids AND 2 dogs in the car.  Jenea loves helping with the dogs, a great improvement for her as she used to be deathly afraid of dogs.

Day 158

November 11th, 2011
Friday

Today we drove to Fairfield, CA, about an hour away to tour the Jelly Belly factory.  It was very interesting.  They wouldn't let us take pictures in the factory so we had someone take one of us here in the cafeteria eating our free sample of jelly beans.

Day 157

November 10th, 2011
Thursday

On the edge of Shaun and Brooke's neighborhood are hills that have trails going up them.  We walked up one of them and saw a beautiful view of the city below.  Jaren discovered this tree.  It is so pretty here and the people we've met are so kind!

Day 156

November 9th, 2011
Wednsday

This afternoon we took the dogs Dash and Remy on a walk.  I was surprised at how well Jadon did walking Dash.

Day 155

November 8th, 2011
Tuesday

This afternoon we visited Shaun at his work, Dreamworks.  We had lunch and got a tour.  Very interesting.  Here Shaun is with the kids and Kung Fu Panda.

Day 154

November 7th, 2011
Monday

Today we spent 12 hours in the car driving to Unkle Shauns and Aunt Brooke's home in Union City, CA.  Paul found a great park to stop at in Grants Pass for us to have a break.  The kids enjoyed feeding the pigeons their crackers and cereal.

Day 153

November 6th, 2011
Sunday

Jaren learned to make hashbrowns (from the potatoes we grew in our garden) and eggs this morning.  He did a great job!

Day 152

November 5th, 2011
Saturday

I found this pile of giggling children in my living room.

Day 151

November 4th, 2011
Friday

Jadon is holding the flashlight for Paul as Paul airs up the van tires in preperation for our road trip to California.

Day 150

November 3rd, 2011
Thursday

Paul is installing wired internet in the house.  The kids wanted to be under the house with him, so here is Jude under the house.

Day 149

November 2nd, 2011
Wednesday

Today we had patriot girls.  We learned to milk goats.  None of my kids would do it, so I did.  It was a new experience for me.  Then we drank the fresh goat milk.  The kids drank it and we all LOVED it!

Day 148

November 1st, 2011
Tuesday

This morning I took Jadon up to OSHU Dornbecker for his first visit with a neurologist.  His favorite part was watching the fish in the tank.
