Sunday
While doing laundry today I found this under the boy's bunk beds. On Easter Jadon asked me if he could keep his candy in his room, he said "I won't eat it, I promise". Well, I forgot about it and he ate it.

Saturday
Looks like I've been spending too much time in downtown Portland lately. Not really, today was the New to You at the church, I donated a truck load and came home with a stroller full.

Friday
Had the opportunity to do a booth with a couple of friends and hand out green smoothie samples for 6 hours.

Jadon strikes again - spilling his whole green smoothie all over the diningroom.

Wednesday
This is Hexter (named after a character in one of Jadon's books) Jadon's potato bug pet he found in the back yard. Hexter had a nice little house in a cup, full of water, leaves and a stick. He passed in the night. Jadon was sad and wanted to go find another pet potato bug.

Tuesday
In the evening after we read our scriptures we read history. We are now reading Story of the World, Ancient Times. I find it terribly interesting, Jadon did tonight too. We read about the ancient Egyptions and how they mummified their dead. Jadon wanted to be a mummy.

I think I should be wearing the cow pj's - she still nurses an awful lot and sometimes I feel like a cow.

Friday
The 8 of us went to a concert at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in downtown. We heard 10 grand pianos, a saxaphone, singing, an electric guitar played by the Portland Chief of Police and a piano played by former Oregon Governor Barbara Roberts. The children really enjoyed the concert.
They would not allow pictures to be taken in there, so here is Jadon pushing Jenevieve in the stroller, and Jude monkeying around on the bike rack.

Thursday
Sweet little Obie peed blood yesterday and howeled in great pain a couple of minutes later. He went strait to the pet ER and was told he was very anemic. He was given some meds and my mom was told he would not get better so she scheduled for a vet to come and put Obie-Wan to sleep this morning at 10:00. This morning at 1:30 I pet Obie, kissed him and told him of the many people that love him and will miss him. He died between then and 6:00 am. The house really does feel different without him. He was a sweet kitty.

Wednesday
I always told Paul his truck was a little Mexican truck. It really is now, he sold it to a group of Mexicans today. Bye bye little red truck, you have taken good care of us.
Tuesday
Jadon ran into a pole with his head today - he was running in his rain boots, tripped and fell into the porch swing. A goose egg was developing quickly - I layered lemongrass, lavender and frankincense essential oils on his head again and again. No goose egg, no more pain and as an added bonus he sure smelled good too!
Jaren, Grandma and I stayed up past 2:00 am to watch the eclipse and blood moon. This was as close as we could get. It was quite amazing. Looking forward to the "stars falling out of the sky" aka meteor shower next Tuesday

Friday
Jenea posted this poem on the fridge a couple of days ago. She's very sweet. Makes me sad that she feels she carries the worries of the world.

My wedding ring is falling apart - literally. I'm ready for a change so I found this band at a pawn shop and got it back from the jeweler today who resized it for me.

Wednesday
It's a great day for a street race with the neighbors. From left to right - Jadon, Abby, Nick and Jude.

Tuesday
Jolie was called back for a 2nd audition for a commercial for Bing. We parked right next to someones apparent clothes line on Water Avenue. Jolie commented "well, at least we don't see a bra", then she looked up higher and saw a bra hanging from the barbed wire. Pretty creative way to use a cyclone fence.

Friday
I
bought Jude and Jadon some bugs and snakes from the dollar store. I
hope this stops them from going into their sisters room and stealing
their petshop toys.

Thursday
Chalkapalloza. Love it when the children play together so sweetly even if it makes a terrible mess.

Wednesday
Jenevieve loves to read me books!
Tuesday
Jolie got a new mattress today, a very nice, comfy one. She was very sad about it, crying and carrying on. She is one who doesn't take well to change.

Monday
Jadon came upstairs smelling very good; of patchouli, lavender and frankincense. I discovered he got into my essential oil cupboard and poured this whole (and very expensive) bottle on his head. He should sleep well tonight - after all, it is the peaceful child blend.
Sunday
Nursery time. Jude (who is too old for nursery but likes to be with me), Ryah Trost, Jenevieve, Sister Gibb and little Gibb boy.
