Day 207

December 29th, 2012
Saturday

JJ and I bundled up today to take a walk since it was dry outside.  No one else wanted to come; well, the 8 year old neighbor girl did - she was good company.

Day 206

December 28th, 2012
Friday

I went to the neighbors a few houses down today to bring her a gift.  I ended up chatting for a fair amount of time.  I left the 5 oldest children home alone and was pleasantly surprised to come home to discover all 5 of them playing Jenea's new herb board game and getting along perfectly.  So pleased with my children.

Day 205

December 27th, 2012
Thursday

Attack of the powdered sugar.

Day 204

December 26th, 2012
Wednesday

It was date night for Jude and I.  He picked going to the mall.  We enjoyed walking around, looking at the pond, playing in the indoor play area.  This struck me though; it brought me to tears - a memorial for those shooting victums in the 12/11/12 mall shooting.  There were thousands of stars all along the top floor of the mall.  They have notes to the families written on them.  I wrote one too.

Day 203

December 25th, 2012
Tuesday

It's Christmas day.  Nothing says Christmas like babies.  Here are Kiera and Jenevieve meeting for the first time.

Day 202

December 24th, 2012
Monday

Jude and I did some last minute Christmas shopping today.  It was great to have him as a companion.

Day 201

December 23rd, 2012
Sunday

Jaren spotted a bird on his birdfeeder - he was so excited.  We think it is a Song Sparrow.  We hope to spot many more birds eating the food he put out for them.

Day 200

December 22nd, 2012
Saturday

Jenevieve and I spent the day together shopping, going to the doctor and she meant Great Grandpa McCollum and Doris for the first time today.  Glad they are still around and healthy for their age!

Day 199

December 21st, 2012
Friday

Jenea  made me this sweet note and said an extra prayer for me - I was really stressing today.  Such a sweet girl!

Day 198

December 20th, 2012
Thursday

Paul teaching Jaren how to make paracord bracelets for Christmas gifts.

Day 197

December 19th, 2012
Wednesday

After cleaning out the food-storage room we had a lot that needed to be burned.  The boys got a little excited throwing cardboard into the fireplace so they also got to vacuum - which they love to do anyway.

Day 196

December 18th, 2012
Tuesday

I finally completed cleaning out and packing the food storage room.  It was pretty disgusting with all those moths and nasty food they left behind.  I learned to only store food in cans, jars or thick plastic buckets if I want the food to remain pest free.

Day 195

December 17th, 2012
Monday

Tonight we had a Christmas Family Home Evening at the Lewis home.  Pictured are the Stoffers and Sister Mead with Jenevieve.

Day 194

December 16th, 2012
Sunday

Aunt Larisa and Uncle Shaun came in from out of town to celebrate Grandma's 60th birthday.  The boys enjoyed playing video games with Uncle Shaun.

Day 193

December 15th, 2012
Saturday

Tonight we went to the ward Christmas party and I forgot my camera.  A lady in the ward makes these headbands - She is allowing me to borrow this one so I can figure out how to make one myself.

Day 192

December 14th, 2012
Friday

Tonight we went to watch the Portland Christmas Ships - it's something we've never done before.

Day 191

December 13th, 2012
Thursday

Jaren wanted to play a video game with Uncle David.  I allowed him to play for 30 minutes - but he had to do 30 minutes of extra work to play.  He did - washed the van out in the cold.

Day 190

December 12th, 2012
Wednesday

Jadon is using the zyto scanner to measure fluctuations in the energy patterns of the skin and see where he is off.  It told us which oils to use on him - so I rub him and all the other children with oils each night.

Day 189

December 11th, 2012
Tuesday

Today there was a mass shooting at the Clackamas Towncenter - just a few miles from my home.  It's somewhere I've frequented since I was a child.  To have this happen in my neighborhood is terrifying.

Day 188

December 10th, 2012
Monday

They are recovering from their surgeries nicely - as frisky as ever.
